Top of the range. The crème de la crème. It doesn’t get any better than this within the Next Level Racing sim racing rig range – the F-GT Elite 160.

A new model line, also available with Ferrari branding as a Scuderia licenced product, the Elite 160 sits atop the 160 pre-drilled aluminium extrusion cockpit options. There’s a custom 40mm aluminium profile base for the 160, with the aim of increasing rigidity.

Available in three different flavours, the range kicks off at €1,299,/$1,149/£1,149. It excludes a seat, for which in testing, we used the Next Level Racing ES1.

This looks pretty amazing to be honest - I have an entry-level Next Level Racing rig already, a few years old and one day I'll aim for this one!

The steering arms were meant to be at this height because when you put the motion platform v3 under your seat it will be higher and the steering arms will almost disappear

I really like that rig, if hadn't just purchased my TrakRacer I would consider this because of the seating adjustments however the support posts are major problem for me. Excellent review!

Is this one of the best sim racing cockpits/rigs on the market? We think so...

For reference, Next Level Racing states that it's got the higher uprights so you can do several driving positions such as in a truck, but you can also lift the seat, pedal and wheel height so uprights might not be in the way if the chair is lifted

Would like to see what it looks like with the seat mounted higher as mentioned by NLR in the comments.

You can mount the ers2 seat in all three positions

If you do get the other seat you are able to make it so your sitting higher and there for your able to move the wheel plate higher also

I noticed the possible issue with the posts being rather high. How good is the switching of the position from GT to F?
I want a rig that is easily switched from GT to F1 seating.

Yeah, they do amazing rigs, having F-GT Elite myself, though I would not recommend adjustable sit, well at least if you are over 80 kg and breaking very hard, its better to have a bucket seat imho

That is a really sturdy rig. The continued downside for me is the steering arms which would be in the way of my screens. The seat also seems to have quite a bit of flex under braking. Maybe it's a cheap seat that they branded...

Good review nonetheless...

guess my older model is no longer top end from them but seems only few minor changes.

Yep, those vertical pillars are a deal breaker. I don't know what NRL were thinking. Almost as if they have no idea what a sim racer finds important.

Can I fit my own standard sim seat from my old rig and still get all types of adjustment?

Those vertical posts are a deal breaker. They should offer them as a different package for those who want to add the motion platform under the seat.

Nice video, but why have such a solid rig and then use a seat that is flexing everywhere :-).

They ruined it with those high sections that the wheel deck mounts to imo.

That seat complete nullifies the rigidity of the main frame.

Looks nice, and might have more adjustability, but I'd put that up against my new GT Omega Prime V2 cockpit any day. When you did the flex test by pushing and pulling the wheel and then side to side there was some noticeable flexing. Cant do that with the Prime.
