I just bought one last month and I love it. Am averaging 38 mpg.
Paid $15, 000 for the SV model. I have to admit two things that have taken some getting use to: The CVT trans. and the electric power steering. The CVT just feels strange revving so high before settling into your "cruising" speed and the electric P.S. gives little feedback so that you tend to over compensate. It also catches you off guard, hearing the transmission making more of an electric humming noise.
All in all, I LOVE it!

I put down $9500 on the SV model and added the extended warranty for 3 additional years beyond the 3year/36, 000 miles they give you (which added about $1, 200). I still have a 4 year loan @ $169 per month at 2.49% interest BUT they don't penalize for early pay off and I'm sending them $300 per month.

My brother has the hatchback version. My brother is a real nit picking, obsessive, critical person and he has no complaints at all about his versa. The thing we both agreed on about the car is that the seats are claims his back feels a lot better after getting used to the harder more supportive seats

Does the base versio with auto gear (not cvt) come with keyless entry?

Also, does it have 4 power windows?

Wotta pity: no sunroof option, even with the top of the line version.
Is it possible to have a power sunroof installed into the Versa?
That would make this machine a winner for yours truly, speaking for myself.

Im wondering on the base model versa if someone with not so good credit or no credit could get one and what amount down would be good to keep payments low

For the same money you could get a much nicer used Honda accord, Lexus, or Toyota and still have money to spare and have a much better reliability record.

Comprei um Versa Nissan dia 09/11/2013, na concessionária Nissan Japan São Paulo, retirei o carro dia 05/12/2013. deixei um carro que eu era único dono em bom estado de funcionamento . Porém aconteceu que apenas ao sair do shopping aricanduva e o carro falhou e parou tive que chamar o guincho que retornou a loja e até agora 07/12/2013  estou sem o carro. e acreditem já estão trocando peças de um carro zero 2013/2014. fui informado que vão trocar o modulo. andei doze quilometros isso mesmo 12 KM.estou muito chateado com essa situação duas noites sem dormir, família triste também, me sentindo enganado.Pensem bem antes de comprar para não passar por essa frustração de comprar um carro zero e nem poder te-lo.

Before Renault, I would have no problem feeling confident that this would be a reliable vehicle. But since Renault owns Nissan, , this vehicle has the promise of breakdowns, failures, and being stranded often as is the case with Renaults. Majority of Renaults are cheap, low priced trash.
