My grandma used to make my cousin and I watch this when we were like 6 and it scared us so bad! But going back it is a good movie.

This should've been nominated for numerous oscars such as Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor (Tommy Lee Jones), Best Actress (Cate Blanchett), Best Supporting Actress (Jenna Boyd), Best Costume Design, Best Makeup, Best Sound Mixing, Best Sound Editing, Best Film Editing, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, and Best Original Score. It was that Great in my opinion!

Well, that depends on what you call a scary movie. If you think this is some Alfred Hitchcock themed movie then NO, it aint scary. The movies argument is based upon the helplesness in those times and the brute force which is always used by human nature get our own will through.
