let's make egg nog salad!

from the 1981 cookbook: Holiday Recipes from the Iowa Public Service Company, we are making a frozen egg nog salad!

Recipe by Mage Gardner Charles City, Iowa

1 can fruit cocktail
1/2 C maraschino cherries
8oz cream cheese
1/8 TSP. salt
1 TSP. vanilla
1 C commercial eggnog
1 carton cool whip
2 C miniature marshmallows
red food coloring

Drain fruit cocktail.
Drain and cut cherries.
Blend softened cream cheese with salt, vanilla, and eggnog until smooth.
Fold in cream, marshmallows, and drained fruit.
Tint with food coloring.
Freeze in ring mold for at least 8 hours
unmold on a cold platter.

The last video of brittnee alexus cooks that I seen was of a review for Digiorno Thanksgiving pizza. I stated that if I couldn't locate one myself that I would curse this channel. I never did locate one. So, in utter defeat I am here to lift that curse. Merry Christmas Brittnee!

10 out of 10 for the stellar production for the Eggnog commercial! It was a hoot. I've never heard of Eggnog salad, but it does seem very similar to Ambrosia salad. I could see this served at a church potluck, and it would probably be a hit. If I were to make this, I would opt for crushed pineapple, in place of mixed fruit; the slimy peach and the texture of canned pears aren't my favorite. Thanks for the giggles! ❤
