My sister had the same diagnosis 15 years ago. She’s doing great, no sign of recurrence. I wish you healing and peace. It’s not easy, but stay strong. ❤

I was diagnosed with stage 4 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma in July 2020. Underwent 6 months of chemo and 25 rounds of radiation and I’ve been in remission since April 2021. I’m 66 years old. May God bless you and heal you.

I lost both of my parents to NHL. My father had no symptoms. He went into the hospital for knee surgery and his preop chest xray showed something. Turned out to be an enlarged lymph gland in his chest. He lived for another 13 years.
My mom had abdominal pain, referred to GI, and they kept finding/fixing things. Nothing resolved the pain. I tore into the GI for refusing an abd CT so he ordered it to shut me up. Gave me a requisition with the wrong indication on it. I crossed it out and rewrote the indication (I'm an RN) and spoke with the radiologist. Findings, a tumor. Norco took away the pain until chemo/steroids kicked in.
You are your own best advocate. Keep fighting.

I was diagnosed with stage 3B non-Hodgkin's lymphoma when I was 29 & newly married. I had cardiac symptoms because of where the primary tumor was. However, I ignored them because I thought I was just out of shape. My first oncologist was TERRIBLE (I ended up firing him when I was done with chemo). One of the last times I went to the ER, he actually yelled at me for making him miss his son's t-ball game!! As my temp was 104.7 & climbing, I didn't speak my mind.

Long story short, I survived. I celebrated my 52nd birthday in June this year. My husband stayed by my side through that & even worse later.

Im dealing with B-cell lymphoma also. It had caused my body to stop producing blood and so I was getting blood transfusions every 8 days for 6 months. After my first round of chemotherapy my body started making its own blood and after 4 months of chemotherapy the cancer went away. I’m so thankful to be here today….

My Dad was diagnosed on Halloween of 2022 with the same cancer. He had side pain for several weeks and just never said anything about it, until he couldn’t handle the pain anymore. His spleen was so swollen it engulfed his left kidney. After going through Chemo, and then deemed in remission, he passed away on April 15, 2024. It wasn’t the cancer that got him, but the chemo that caused congestive heart failure. My Dad was an amazing man. The chemo definitely bought us more time with him, and for that, I am eternally grateful. We lost Mom 10 months before we lost Dad. They were married for 42 years, and he really missed her. I miss my Dad every day.
