Today on StockCharts In Focus, Grayson shows you how to combine the Sector Summary tool with SCTRs (StockCharts Technical Rank) to find the market’s strongest stocks in just four clicks. By drilling into the strongest sectors and then the strongest industry groups within, you can quickly find a list of promising stocks in leading groups. Using SCTRs to filter the list even further, you’re just a few clicks away from discovering the top charts.

Great Channel. For me it’s No 1, if you know how to use it. F. e.: stocks with the highest SCTR are the dangerous to buy and are usually ripe for pullback or even trend reverse.
SCTR between 70 and 80 is the sweetest spot provided that the SCTR-line is in an uptrend.

Great job Grayson. So many valuable resources in Stockcharts that we hardly use because we are not aware.

I love how you can click on the ETF symbol and drill down. SCTR is a great filter too! Awesome stuff!

Great product overall.

Product enhancement suggestion for Grayson - in the scans, please have a field for dailyvalue of volume for teh day, last 10day avg, last 30 day avg and last 90 day avg.

As an investor with larger funds to deploy, I don't like to deal with smaller ETFs and hence, the request to make this tool relevant to me.

How do you think about sectors that are doing really well, but have low SCTR ratings? E.g., in your example, Gold Mining has a SCTR of 33.5 but a 3 month change of 33.66%. Many other StockCharts technicians have noted the strength in gold in recent months as well. These videos are really excellent, thank you.

Great coaching on sector summary! Any possibility for the same sector summary on the TSX?

Would sure like to be able to do this for Canadian markets.

suggest a show re: technical red flags to watch for, also, map feature could use some light shed on it.

I've been using this technique for sometime and appreciate you going through it. However, the problem with it is once you get down to the individual stocks, since these are set lists, you can't move to "edit" and then select certain stocks to move to a watchlist/chartlist. Any work around for that? Thanks

Awesome tool. Can I use this with the TSX?

Man if you were to bought those stocks with a SCTR Of 90+ you would of been at a loss right away as most of them pulled back in February and now are just recovering or broke out higher. How do you really use it dude

Today, (2/17/24) I reviewed the "new" changes to Market Carpet. I am a long time member of Stock Chart. Unfortunately, I must say I was unimpressed with the "new" Market Carpet. There is nothing there that is not present in the Stock Sector space on Stock Charts. Much hullabaloo Grayson about nothing.
