Kerela is good in education but higher education is something they should improve upon. Most of the students go to Karnataka or tamil nadu for higher studies and jobs too ( also, leading to brain drain).

As a man from Kerala, yes we are really proud about our achievements in the field of education and health. However, the biggest problem still exists, which is unemployment. Until we tackle that problem we can never be properly developed (we might be comparatively more socially developed than some other states, but calling Kerala a proper developed state is immature). And we also have to make use of our tourism sector more.

My mother was a Govt school teacher, she was very sincere in teaching the students. She was a communist party supporter like most other teachers, and treated the Dalit students like her own children. I am thankful to my mother for teaching 1000s of students and help Kerala and India to progress in many aspects

One of the primary reason was the land redistribution after independence, it had been successful in kerela than any other state

How education in kerala has helped other states is also a major point to be noted. Most of the top quality educators, professors, teachers and scientists are from Kerala....
I mean here in Gujarat, when I was in school Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English were all taught by teachers from Kerala

I studied in a govt school in kerala fees was 2500rs per year. For btech i payed just 3.5k per sem . Hard to digest for some people but this is the reality. If kerala government improves the research activities nothing can stop people there. The honesty and quality of education i got was good.

Above 50% of Covid cases are from Kerala now in India and death toll per day is 100+. But the govt. is still providing food kit and pension on time that's a good thing.

Kerala has adopted a lot of socialist ideologies like...
1) free education and profit free college education
2) profit free healthcare
3) environmental activism
4)Pro immigration
5) fiscally big GOVT, socially small GOVT
6) social progressiveness
7) Pro working Families
8) Taxing the Rich
9) pro (all) fundemental rights
10) higher minimum wage

I think Tourism is also a significant income generator for locals...Places like Allepey, Munnar, Wayanad, Kovalam beach are famous throughout the country and also abroad...their campaign of Kerala as 'God's own country ' deserves a mention...

Education reforms by Christian saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara was such an immense push to education in kerala.
He popularized compulsory education(pallikoodam) to all without religious, caste or financial barriers.

Kerala is so developed in Human Resources, but there are no jobs for youth due to a lack of foreign investment. Most of them go to the gulf to work. Why are most MNCs going to Bengaluru and Hyderabad instead of Cochin and Trivandrum? Education and Health are one thing, but they are meaningless without jobs and development when less developed states have world-class it and industrial hubs.
