The aerodynamics of this ball is completely different from a standard basketball. Since it has far more surface area, there is much more drag, and that’s why those guys made bricks.

The holes are gonna cause a lot more wind resistance and thats why they air balled it. Not only do you get resistance from the air hitting the face of the ball, but you also get resistance from the air as it is exiting the rear of the ball. This will probably interfere with your spin making backboard layups and longer range shots really difficult
