Critical path analysis uses network diagrams to manage resources and identify priorities throughout the duration of a project in order to ensure most efficient completion. Once drawn, the network diagram can be used to show the critical path and any float times on non-critical activities. This helps with prioritisation of resources.

I remember doing a variant of CPA that included a workforce calculation (i.e. how many workers were necessary for any one task, which could be back tracked through the network to alter the EST and thus floats if resources were not available to maintain the calculated duration of the project, or to decrease project length by running more tasks in parallel to the maximm of available workforce. Does anyone know where I can get that re-explained as It'd be very helpful for an upcoming self managed house build. Thanks!
