Working on converting my Hardrock XCHR to electric. My family all got these really heavy electric bikes, & they are cool. Just hard to maneuver, & get around. I want to have the off-road capable, DIY kind of bike. It won't look as cleaned up as theirs, but that's what I'm going for. A rugged, XC, electric bike. I won't even be taking it on any hard trails. Just down our road & back, & maybe to work every so often. (A few miles away) I can go around 30mph on theirs. I bet with a lighter frame & better system, I could get to around 35mph-40mph comfortably.
