Easy on your knocking of fiberglass, being not up to automotive standards. The corvette is real, and the marine & aviation industry are full of fiberglass. Well understood solid product, not like plastic at all.

Had one or their Cobra kit cars back in the early 2000's. These guys don't mess around. With 475 HP from a supercharged HP 5.0L Mustang engine and weighing in at around 2350 lbs., this was the insanely fastest car off the line that I ever owned. What a blast. Light as a feather on the rear end though. Watch out for those wet leaves.

Love the rear tail lights, sides and hood. The front head lights are on the right track, perhaps just a little larger but not by much.

Always been a fan of Factory Five. Use to live just a few miles from them down on Cape Cod. This new F9R looks fantastic. And that exhaust note is incredible. Hope it comes to market.

It’s beautiful and I’m VERY seriously considering one. But “hypercar” is a stretch.

Ad right in the middle of the car starting is stupid

That was a complete misrepresentation of fiberglass.

something that a lot of people fail to know would be that kit cars are sold as kits to avoid all crash tests along with being sent through a wind tunnel. although FF does do some things like the wind tunnel, they do not do any crash or roll testing. these tests are to ensure that you are safe during the crash. the reasoning behind that would be something I'm gonna call the crinkle effect, the reasoning behind that would be because production cars are made with softer metals to dampen the crash, now with the smaller and stronger tube frames like what comes with kit cars makes them lighter and quicker to get up to speed and will NOT dampen nearly as much as the softer metals like aluminum. these cars are meant to be fast, not safe. although i am preparing to build an awd TT lsx FF GTM to bring to car meets! Love the content! keep up the good work!

This car looks very very nice, compared to lots of other kit-kars. That V12 engine (1st proto), sounds amazing. Can’t imagine it with a BMW S63B44 engine!! 😳

I really want to se this compete in Le Mans 24h some time in the future. Imagine watching these blast down racetracks around the world. The first time i saw it, my heart screamed yes.

This is actually a REALLY good looking car with some serious performance! Would totally give this a look as a fun project car to work on.

If any opt for the v12 LS, that engine is going to be more than the car. 😁

Fiberglass low quality? Granted carbon fiber is better but corvette and boats among other things have used fiberglass for years.

Wouldn’t call this a hypercar. It’s more like a high performance GT car. Hypercars are ludicrously fast and expensive, not to mention extremely rare. This would be something that could compete with the C7 Corvette and the like.

Reminds me of the Aston Martin Vulcan with Senna headlights

The most important thing about the f9r is that F5 is bringing the carbon manufacturing in house inside a new addition at the shop. So hopefully this means full exposed carbon fiber cobra body’s cause then I would build one. And carbon 818c would be a must too

Looks great but the Corvette/ LS based GTM is still my dream car so hopefully it doesn't get discontinued.
