GCSE History - Medicine Through Time: Robert Koch and Magic Bullets

This video focuses on the work of Robert Koch and how he built on Pasteur's germ theory to produce vaccines. It doesn't stop there! It also looks at the subsequent work of Paul Ehrlich, Sahachiro Hata and Gerhardt Domagk in the search for 'magic bullets'- medicines that could seek out and destroy harmful bacteria.

The lesson is intended to support the Edexcel GCSE History Specification, but will probably be useful for other exam boards too. It should last about 1 hour, depending on the detail and depth to which tasks are completed.
