This scene particularly made me cry the most. That it taught me to cherish with the people that I care for .

I saw this for the first time in 2013 as a young high school student and thought it was just another good film. Then my dad passed away in 2017. I watched it again several months after that and this scene made me cry buckets because I wish I had that extra time. And here I am, watching these scenes again from time to time if I really miss him.

Lost my father a few days ago and tonight I stumbled upon this scene. So beautiful. To anyone who still has their parents alive, cherish them and enjoy the time together as much as you can.

This is such a genuine portrayal of a father son relationship, as a Brit it is very accurate and Bill Nighy’s character reminds me of my own father here. Makes me sad to think I will see my own father leave this world.

I don’t think I’ve ever cried so much for a movie, than I did in this scene.

I remember tearing up in the cinema when I first saw the film, Tim and his dad's bond was so special, and arguably the heart of the story, next to his relationship with Mary. They did great casting for younger Tim, he looks just like Domhnall!

Today, I just lost my dad. This is our first night without him. And this scene just reminds me of our “extra time” together, all the games we’ve played, all the places we went to, all the memories we’ve shared. I just wished that I have the ability to time travel as well, so that I can replay those memories anytime I want, I wish I can be stuck in a loophole of those memories forever.

Its when they go back to those kid and father memories that gets me everytime. Cried like anything.

This movie has become my fav. Thought it would be another romcom but no. It was more. Values and priorities changed after this movie. Bravo, really. Cherish your time with your family to the max.

This film is a masterpiece in my eyes. I finished watching it for the first time just 10 minutes ago but my god it was powerful. Wasn't expecting to get emotional at any point but the last 20 minutes of the film just got to me. Absolutely brilliant, 10/10

this scene will always make me remember the times I wasn't able to spend with my dad.. if I could go back in time, surely I would've return to my younger days, . play with him more, cherish him..

I will never forget this scene, I was a new father and I was holding my son in my arms while watching this. And I remember looking down and seeing my son sleep in my arms with my wife next to me and I broke down and started ugly crying. It was at this moment that I understood what this scene truly meant. Holy crap 10 years later and it still pulls at the heart strings!

Lost my Dad in 2019, and he was really my person. I could hardly breath through this scene for a while. Now it's my go to, when I know I need to let out a good cry that I am holding onto or suppressing.

I can't get through this without bawling. The power of love is insane when you stop to really think about it. Nothing can stop it. Not even death.

As many other comments, there’s no need to tell why I ended up in this video.
It’s been a month without my dad and I miss him so much. It’s tough to think he’s gone. I just wish I could have that extra time.

I loved this movie before, but watching it again now just hits very hard.

Me and my mom used to watch this movie about once a year. She passed last May and this was one of the first scenes I rewatched. I miss her every single day and yet this scene makes me feel like she’s still here with me. ❤️

This scene was just heartbreaking. Probably never felt so connected with the characters in a movie. I still have my dad, he is 67 now. Since I moved out of my parental home I return in the weekends so we can work on old cars together, and he helps me with my newest project an old house . Really can’t think of a life without him, without his advice and his general life attitude which is just inspiring . Sometimes it’s just hurts to see him get old.

Lost my dad in 2021 to covid, this scene makes me cry like a baby. Haven't watch the movie yet, but from this scene alone I know this is a good movie.

Literally just spent last week running down an empty beach one early morning with my 3 year old laughing and playing. This hits hard
