For theater we used mineral water. Yes it exists in spray can form. Some places that are proud of their water sell it as refreshment.

You missed a great pun opportunity…underneath the Pain label, you should have had a Gain label. Since the haze doesn’t hurt, that would’ve been “no pain, no gain.”

Fun fact: haze in a can replaced our original way of adding atmosphere to a set: cigarettes. But apparently they're "toxic" and "cause lung cancer". People are just afraid of practical effects these days, I blame CGI.

A few safe alternatives that are easy to access would be cooking spray, but it’s oily so best for outdoor use. Canned air works or for thick wet sprays they make aerosol saline for wound washing and sell it at the pharmacy.
Three options for three different situations. Oil is food safe, and readily available. Canned air doesn’t really spray anything but in some situations that’s good when you wanna add something in post but actually have hair or objects get blown around realistically. Canned saline is a very thick stream like wasp spray or pepper spray so would work well for those types of situations.
If anyone has any other suggestions for easily available alternatives, leave them for people in replies!

Edit: Note. For saline wash, be careful to buy pure saline. Some wound washes have antibacterial and/or numbing/pain killing additives that may make it unsafe to spray in someone’s face. So just make sure the can says Aerosol Saline, 100% saline with no additives. I know it exists because I bought it last week after crashing my onewheel… haha

Have you done a video on blood rugs/blood mats before? I recently saw a video on these rubbery red mats and I was so amazed that they didn't use actual fake liquid blood to depict blood on the ground from injured characters. By the way I love your channel and your puns so much😄♥️
