HOW TO TEACH TWO LETTER BLENDING | SARA MEER
Показать описание
How to teach 2 letter blending is what you will see in this video.
1. Make a Chart of Consonant-vowel words
2. Explain the child that first we will practice verbally. Blending is not a visual skill , it's verbal. Example: "Can you bring the c-up from the kitchen?"
Example2: Say it slowly first "aaaaammmmm"
Now say it fast "am"
3. Take two lego blocks and write the consonant and vowel on each. ex, f and a. Hold it in your hands and decrease the gap as you bring them together saying the sounds. This is the best activity to teach blends. So when you decrease gap, the sounds will sound more close to the actual word. This is the most important activity. Don't skip this one
4. Take an Art Book. Plain paper. What you have to do is write the consonant with other vowels. Ex; fa, fe, fi, fo, fu. Keep repeating this. 2-3 days a week. Change the consonants.
5. Add a Black Board or white board to give some variety. The same way as above. na, ne, ni, no, nu.
6. Show Cartoons videos on blending.
