There are actually a bunch of scp-001 nominees, more of the most popular ones being prototype, scarlet king and when day breaks. My favourite is when day breaks which is one of the VERY few SCPs given the Appolyon class level.

Technically Euclid/Keter. The classification system is based on how difficult an object is to contain. The Gate Guardian cannot be contained, however the only measure deemed currently necessary is 24/7 monitoring.

Scp 001's attacks are so fast it is believed he attacks in just a fraction of a nanosecond and the sword it weilds is like 1000x the temperature of the core of our son and I think it is not protecting the portal to the garden of Eden but the portal to it's home dimension
