We have a Dyson Multi-Floor 2 / Dyson Ball stand-up vacuum cleaner. The suction is so strong that it sucks up pieces of the actual carpet, especially for longer carpet. I could not find a setting to raise the vacuum head to a higher-level. I only see two levels; carpet and hardwood floor. If I'm mistaken, please advise. If not, I would NOT recommend this vacuum cleaner for carpets. If Dyson responds with a favorable answer, I will gladly update this post.

Had my Dyson around 4 years. No longer functions well. Stops and starts and not picking up. Check nozzle and filters but lasts for about 5 to 10 minutes then conks out. Any suggestions?
