Mean Value Theorem. Find the values of c that satisfy the Mean Value Theorem. We learn how to determine if the Mean Value Theorem can be applied through various examples. If it can, we find all values of c that satisfy the theorem. If it cannot, we explain why not. We learn how to apply the Mean Value Theorem to a function. We first determine if the Mean Value Theorem can be applied. If it can not be applied, we state why. If the Mean Value Theorem can be applied, we first take the derivative of the function. We then set the derivative equal to (f(b)-f(a))/(b-a) and solve for x. Once we get these values we determine which ones are within our bounds of the problem. These values are the values of c that satisfy the Mean Value Theorem. This is a great introduction into the Mean Value Theorem. This is under the topic of Applications of Differentiation with this free online math video lesson. #MeanValueTheorem #findthevalueofc #ApplytheMeanValueTheorem #MVT #derivatives #calculus #calculushelp #minutemath #minutemathhelp #onlinemathlessons
