Kendrick isn’t dissing drake for being biracial. He is dissing him for trying to be hood & was raised rich. This isn’t black or white. It’s about acting like something you’re not. Kendrick is saying drake uses his race when it benefits him. Which I think is true. It’s beyond code switching too so that’s not a valid defense. What drake does is more along the lines of privilege. He uses the fact that he is very popular with the white demographic & pop culture/charts etc. & knows they have a fascination with “rap” so drake plays up his gangster for them. While the real rappers & people who are about it know he isn’t. He uses his blackness as a privilege almost for lack of better articulation. & that is what Kendrick is bringing attention to.
Editing this 2 months later it also dawns on me that you inherit your Jewish lineage from your mother. If you are half Jewish & it’s not your mother that is the Jewish on you aren’t technically Jewish from my understanding so he is Jewish lol

Not going to lie, I married a biracial man with a white mother and he didn't meet his father until a teen. He was definitely raised white and so was Drake. My husband had his "hip hop" thing to connect with his Black side because most white mother's don't make the effort to surround their biracial kids with some black people.
