There’s an entire industry of writers selling songs to current artists. It doesn’t mean the artist doesn’t also write their own music. Future wrote drunk in love for Beyonce. Blackbear wrote boyfriend for Justin Bieber. The list is endless. But for people to act like that somehow exposes an artist as being a fraud is ridiculous. The industry has always worked this way.

What people don’t even realize is when it comes to writing, an artist can write all but 2 lines of a song by themselves and those two lines have to be credited to the person that wrote them. People just see names on the writers credit and think the artist didn’t do any writing at all 🤦🏽‍♂️

Not to mention someone like Drake or any mainstream artist is probably so busy with any and everything in life that having writers helps get projects out way faster

A ghost writer literally can hear the artist in mind when they write and that’s innate, same goes for artist who writes for others and themselves. People make such huge deal about this and not sure why!
