I stopped growing when I was 14 and made it to 5’2. I continued to dance in high school on a drill/dance team where we did kick lines and it only fueled my desire to be a Rockette that I’d had since I was a little girl. At 22 I’m still 5’2 and the dream is still there, but every Christmas watching the Rockettes always is and always will be bittersweet

Haha, when i was little i wanted to be a Rockette and my mom told me I'm only 5'1 you're not going to be tall enough. Moved on from dancing and ended up being almost 5'8. WELP
(No idea how I got this height my other sisters all are too short so it was a realistic expectation haha)

As a 5'8" woman who dreamed about being a ballet dancer but was too "big" (because i was not a supper skinny girl in my adolescence and have this height since 12), and too small to play voleyball, i tottaly understand you kkkk now im 21 in the 4th year of med school (here in Brasil we have a diderent duration of med school than usa, here it lasts 6 years)

homie, I remember being in kindergarten and wanting to be a marine fighter pilot, before figuring out at 6’4”, that was physically impossible, I wouldn’t even fit in the cockpit.

Sometimes our calling moves us where we’re needed more then where we want to be. being able to change a 9’ lightbulb without a ladder is great job security, lol.

It's bad here on the other end too, I'm 5'8", but as a professional ballet dancer, it means that a bunch of companies won't even consider me bc I'm too tall for their guys to partner
