This tutorial will show you my general process for achieving this particular style. Based on the video, you can experiment with the settings and find what suits you best!
However, if you want to copy/paste the EXACT graphic settings that I use, you can buy the detailed tutorial from my shop. But if you're willing to just experiment a bit, you really dont need it!

Clickbaiting people in and then locking any actual useful info behind a paywall is pretty scummy.

As someone who bought the guide and followed the video, I strongly advise against it. The only useful part of the video/guide is the stuff about Masking at the start and the Lighting/Shadows. The Map he showcases has tonnes of stamps in it that he does not use. The guide also details bushes in grass lands which in the video he has only placed in plains. As well as a bunch of other inconsistencies/stamps that do not fit the texture/match up with the video.

The written guide is just as ambiguous as the what he is verbally speaking in the video.

Find a good map online and use it as a reference image for ideas, this was a waste of $12.

I do make a world map but only I get to see it. To start the game, I mask out everything that the characters don't know. Then I create a simplified overlay highlighting places and previous encounters that are relevant to the PCs and write in anything that they may have heard rumors about in the area but not providing the specific location. I give this map to each PC to start. Each PC receives a different map with different info on it. They can then share that info or not share it with the other PCs. The ranger might say, "I know of a safe place nearby that we can camp.", for example. After the session, the PCs update their maps. I also allow them to buy maps (some accurate some not and some intended to be misleading). Most maps are not geographically accurate. Rather, distances are provided in terms of travel time. "Three days ride". 15 hours. 10 min, 30 sec, etc. When asking NPCs for directions, they will say the same. "The ruins are 3 days ride, due West of the village." I never give them an accurate geographic map with everything marked on it. I do however supply them with perspective encounter maps when that is appropriate. "This is the view of the Wyverns lair that you see." If they ask, how high is the cliff, I tell them. How far away is that tree. I tell them. "About 50 paces." They can estimate distances if they can see them. "How deep is the pit." "You can't see the bottom".

If only you gave an honest tutoiral instead of selling a guide. 0/10, then again, you're not a good content producer so you know that.

What are the dimensions of your map? I’ve been using the default landscape and it’s always too crowded

I've changed from cutting rivers into the background to actually painting rivers as a layer on top, much more realistic

Super helpful video. Thank you. Here's my question: Can I populate my mountains?
I am just getting started. I am interested in making a series of about 197 mountain ranges, each with multiple peaks (5-27). I would like to be able to populate individual mountains/peaks with altar spaces, beasts (1-3 representative species for many peaks), and various alchemical products (plant, mineral, etc.). Can you provide a meaningful tutorial for this need?
