This is a reply to elementsofphysicalreality. I started watching Jens a few weeks ago and already Ive learned about jazz scales, appregios, chord voicings, names of chords etc. Im not a pro musician nor can I read notation. So mellow out dude. Jens is a great teacher. Why do you keep watching if yur not learning? Thanks to Jens for sharing his knowledge so we can all learn to play the music we love.😎☮️🎸

Great lesson Jens, and great point about beginners not recognizing pivots (and surely other structures). It's amazing how learning what these sound like helps in transcribing and creating.

Yeah! Pivot arpeggio helped me a lot. Learned it from transcribing joe pass (there is no greater love), that is something that every jazz guitarist should do!

Great, as usual. When I decided to relearn guitar 2 years ago and focus on Jazz, I tuned instead to P4 to make it easier and refused to watch any lessons for fear of developing someone else's style and not my own. That was a big mistake (not the P4 which I am still sticking with). You are saving me from wasting a lot of time. Thanks for that.
