I used leather honey on my avirex bomber jackets g1 it looks great now if I use another bottle of leather honey will the jacket go darker

For dilution is it best to use distilled water ?

Where I live we tend to get hard water so I'm guessing using distilled water to dilute the cleaner will be even safer for my leather jacket. Kindly clarify.

What was the purpose of diluting it with water? I just applied it raw.
I thought water is harmful to leather?
But i didn’t put any cleaner on. Just skipped that step and put on conditioner.
