Dudu lived up to its reputation.

I like how you are getting tough on the IEM makers. Thanks for the super review!

Love to see a low ranking, to be honest. Not many do that, but I appreciate it, as it makes you more trustworthy in my book.
Thanks 👍

S08 is the most perfect fit in my ears.
I have elysian pilgrim, xenns mangird tea pro, and S08.

I just got the S08 because they had a similar fr to the IE 200 when it comes to treble. I’m a bit treble sensitive so I really like the relatively flat upper region on the IE200 and the S08. I think there is more contrast, separation, and soundstage on the IE200 but its price point makes it only a good (not great) value.
The slightly bloated bass and lack of air frequencies are a fine trade off if you’re looking for a sub $100 Sennheiser-ish sounding iem. Plus the extra bass umph and sound isolation is nice if you’re traveling.

Dudu is the name of the dog of Berlusconi, when he was alive... of course it couldn't do that good as an IEM :)) thanks for the review! I love the S08 more than you do :)

If you want a planar, perhaps the NiceHCK F1 Pro or the Artti T10. Both are sub $100. If you want more detail, the F1 Pro. If you want something close, but more budget, the T10, it's value is pretty compelling.

Vortex has all four of these on his squig for direct comparison.

I also completed testing both of these IEMs. DUDU feels like a bit rushed to me, it tries to give a lot but in a complicated manner. Whereas I feel, S08 will be popular amongst listeners and new audiophiles, because it checks a lot of boxes: like planar, affordable and bass.

I hopped on the s08 when it was $70, which for that price i wasnt dissapointed. I really like the cable maybe even one of my favorites. Sounds a little too boomy mid bass for me but decent just not ground breaking

"its' just thin, it's very thin"
You know what... Over the years I have turned MANY audio professionals and musicians onto the fun and wonderful world of tripowin zonie type cable replacements. Higher core count, multi strand, soft and chubby cables.

HOWEVER! I got to handle one of the older Westone IPX cables (the new ones seem pretty much the same from what I can find online) that are reinforced with aramid. They are INCREDIBLY thin and light and pliable, however seemed borderline bulletproof. There's something to be said for the top 1 percent of hyperlight iem cables, just not enough manufacturers doing so due to hobbyist demand/aesthetic.

I quite like the Dudu... I did my review on them, perhaps you could say that the sounds is just meh, but I quite like the technicalities it has.

I wanna know who at TinHifi thought that Dudu would be a good name for their product. I'm curious to see how the S08 compares to the latest Letshuoer S12, the 2024 edition.

Given how much the original S12 costs I might as well go for that instead. Plus I think it looks nicer than the S08. :P

I know it's been a while, but a comparison between the s08 and Explorer seems logical considering how close they graph, at least you expressed a preference :)

Im curious to know your opinion on these vs the Kefine Klanar if you have listened to those. Currently, the Klanars are similar in price to the Tin DuDu's, but reviews on the Klanar aren't that common

Is it possible to see a collaboration with you or will you just focus on reviews?

I loved my S08, it rumbled like my Mext but wasnt as spicy in the treble. I did enjoy em but decided to give em away to my friend in favour of Explorer having a much better fit on me

Im excited to see how S12 2024 does, if its better than S08 to justify the price or if you wouldn't miss out much just buying S08

Mark do you think 300-400$ IEM is comparable detail wise with 300-400 headphones? Soundstage is no doubt but what do you think about the other aspects like layering, micro details, imaging, timbre, etc (Let's say aful P5 vs Sennheiser HD600) I know it's hard to compare both but I'm curious since I hate testing fit in IEM
