Ugh... I hate these "which is the best?" It focuses on the wrong aspects of photography and videography. We should be focused on creativity and making interesting art. That requires skills that are independent of your gear. At the end of the day, nobody cares what camera system you use or what lens you're using. All that matters is that you create something enjoyable. Sony, Canon, Nikon, Fuji all make great and capable gear. Just tell your viewers to buy something within your budget and learn how to use it and stop stoking FOMO by hyping up which piece of gear is marginally better than the others.

I am an avid Canon user. I have too much glass to switch. I rarely shoot video. To each his own but the reliability is a main reason I stay with Canon! Bulletproof for years. After editing it’s hard to tell what Camera/lens combination was used.

It doesn't matter. They're all great. Canon doesn't allow third party lenses, but if you're happy with the Canon lenses, don't switch. Nikon is great too, and of course Sony is as well. But there's too little of a difference to make a jump worth the effort.

Friend got an a7iv couple years back, great camera, shot with it a little bit, and then I got an R5 and I don't think I'll ever go sony

A7RV + 50 1.2 for me is an amazing combo. 61 mp 50 1.2 photos PLUS after remapping the record button to toggle crop mode I can toggle a 27 mp (75 1.8 equivalent) APSC mode... so I consider it two primes in one. While I know I can crop in post, for composing shots this just works amazingly well. I know it sounds funny, but this means that I hardly ever use my 85 or my 24-70 anymore. I prefer to keep the 50 on the A7R5 and use a wider prime, or a 16-35 or a 135 prime or 70-200 on my A74 depending on if I need to go wider or more narrower on the other body.

Hmm. Can I be honest? I didn’t enjoy the performance of the lens for this video. Shaky, warpy, sometimes sharp sometimes blurry. It was a strange viewing experience. Unpleasant colors. Just hoping to help

Dude just get a Z8 and be happy❤, no ibis wobble, excellent 1.2 / 1.8 primes and 2.8 zooms, stacked sensor, top video capabilities, growing third party support and can even mount Sony lenses

The R6 Mark II is the best hybrid out there right now, especially for the price. It easily bests the A7IV and S5 II in most areas.
The Sony bodies to me are terrible. They are square and get beat up badly and have terrible LCDs. There is a great video out there by Nick Page titled "Goodbye Sony" where he sold his A7IV because the body fell apart on him and got the much more robust R5 and loved it so much more! Of course the agro Sony fangurlz attacked him viciously.

I moved from Sony to Fuji in APS-C and regret NOTHING.

I keep my Canon for Full Frame but I sure hope that Canon allows more 3rd party lens support, geez.
