A commonly asked question is - How many mutual funds should I have in my investment portfolio? In this short video, I explain my preferred set of mutual fund scheme types including the allocation I use. To put is as a summary, my ideal mutual fund portfolio will include 7 mutual funds:
‣ 1 Large Cap fund (25%)
‣ 1 Mid Cap fund (12%)
‣ 1 Small Cap fund (12%)
‣ 1 International fund (12%)
‣ 1 Gold fund (5%)
‣ 1 Liquid or Money Market debt fund (15%)
‣ 1 Short or Medium Duration debt fund (20%)
