☆ Squirrelflight PMV - hoax

So - here's an instance where a PMV invented itself in my head! It finally got me to take a 2 week break from commissions to get it done and I'm really happy with it.

I wanted to explore Squirrelflight and specifically the events in The Power of Three/Omen of the Stars in which she has to lie and take her sister Leafpool's kits as her own, and her relationship with the three of them, and the consequences of the lie when Ashfur forces her to reveal it.

Initially I wasn't even going to do the whole song but it's the only way I envisioned an "optimistic" ending and Squilf deserves happiness!!

Anyhoo I hope you guys enjoy! ♥ I might tinker with the description a bit but hopefully the plot of the video is relatively easy to follow (as long as you know the books lol)!

I come back to this every now and then. It breaks my heart for the treatment and blame Squirrelflight gets. She is a caring and loving mother and sister. She out everyone fiest before herself. She doesn't deserve the amount of hate she gets from fans and truly deserves the world. Even if she lied once, thats no reason to hate her. She did it for her sister and Leafpools kits.
Squirrelflight will always hold a special plsce in my heart. She is truly an amazing character

Squirrelflight is one of my favorite characters in the books, and in my opinion was treated very wrong by her children, Brambleclaw, and everyone around her, she didn't deserve their treatment, and she stayed strong during the times of abandonment

I've watched this so many times over the years and I just now realized you made jay, holly, a d lion's eyes blue when they were kittens and I love that sm! A little hint of how kittens are born with blue eyes irl

Gosh this almost brought tears to my eyes, what an amazing work of art. This is just beautiful. I’ve never been that invested in Squirrelflight as a character but, lately the community’s depictions of her like this have been changing my mind and making me reflect a bit more. So much pain, adore it.

Coming back to this a few months later and this still makes me cry. Squirrelflight had gone through so much. She went from being a headstrong apprentice to a hard working cat.
It's hard to think that so many people will still go out of their way to treat her like garbage. People also forget that she was forced into taking in those kits by StarClan themselves. And then they turn around and say she's the villain for helping Leafpool break the code nonsense.
And I want to state this if anyone thinks I'm making her out to be perfect, I'm not. She has her flaws, but she makes up for it. Her relationship with Brambleclaw should have been just a sibling relationship. I would have preferred that.
