Join us on this week's episode of Quantum Conversations as we dive into the intertwined realms of diet and exercise from a quantum perspective. We kick off by discussing the transformative power of light exposure for mental health and how natural environments can stabilize emotions. Carrie shares insights on the necessity of recovery in strength training, stressing that muscle growth happens during rest. We also delve into leptin sensitivity and adrenal fatigue, offering strategies to reverse leptin resistance through balanced, quantum-aligned practices. Emphasizing a sustainable approach to physical activity, we talk about integrating walks, nature time, and bursts of exercise into daily routines. You'll hear about managing hunger signals for effective weight loss and the importance of morning nourishment to avoid triggering starvation mode. We touch on Arturo’s groundbreaking research on hemoglobin and oxygenation, and wrap up with the vital role of grounding and nature-based practices in nervous system regulation. Tune in for a holistic conversation on achieving health and well-being through quantum-informed diet and exercise strategies.

I also started walking a ton during 2020, after years of workout classes - sometimes 2 a day. Have kept it up since then and gave up the fitness classes altogether. Also went ketovore at the same time. I lost 35 pounds (also quit drinking in 2019) and went through menopause last year with not a single negative symptom.

This was such a great conversation and exactly what I needed to hear at this point. I've been overexercising for years now, and my body literally has made it so that I can't run away anymore by developing plantar faciitis on my right side (over expenditure of yang) and amenorrhea. HIIT, long distance running, jump roping, stair master and long bouts of cardio inside a gym, dieting, tracking, counting, binge/restricting cycles, obsessive rumination...all of it, my body and mind are screaming to stop...This has been going on for years now, but finally I'm at the end and can't run away anymore.
Time for slowing down, enjoying the nature and animals around me, enjoying the outdoors and sunshine, and accepting its a journey, it could be slow It could happen fast but thank you for both your insights this has been inspiring and helpful.

Hello Sarah and Carrie,
Thank you for all the information you put out there ! So precious 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I think you already answered that question but I’ve not been able to find where.
Could you point me to the video where you explain why you actually can take a shower after sun exposure without impairing vitamin D ? Thank you so much !

Loved this conversation. So much good information. My main take a ways, are to wake up at sunrise, go outside, get out again at uva rise, eat breakfast & block blue light at night & trust your intuition.

You bring up the idea of having to eat less the more sunlight exposure one gets. I've heard that before in several discussions of quantum biology and it's got me thinking. I'll keep it in mind as I experiment and observe my own bodily signals and state of health. The past few months, I've been emphasizing lots of sunlight exposure, combined with deuterium depletion. It's been a challenge, but there is no going back.

It reminds me of others, from Laszlo Boros to Timothy Noakes, talking about overhydration. Needing far less water also came up in a conversation between Harry Serpanos and Mary Ruddick. She noted that the Hadza drank little water nor carry water, even when doing persistent hunting in the heat of the day. Serpanos suggested it had to do with low deuterium. That was an early introduction for me about deuterium depletion.

I've been testing this out for myself. While eating low-carb, high-fat, and animal-based, I've done dry fasting for several days and felt fine. The initial thirst goes away and my body maintains saliva the entire time, and I also continue to urinate. But the possibility of not needing as much food is intriguing in a different way. It's far more counter-intuitive to most people, especially as so many are food addicted.

It does make a lot of sense to me. I remember many decades ago. I wasn't eating healthy at the time and my sleep schedule was less than optimal because I worked nights. But I would take these long jogs, often barefoot. That meant lots of sunlight. I had the odd experience of feeling less hungry afterwards, even after jogging for 1-3 hours. Later on, I gave credit to ketosis and I'm sure that was part of it. Ketosis does knock out hunger. Then again, maybe I really was getting extra energy from the sun.

Yes ! The body is speaking to us in symptoms . I’m a nutritional therapist and medical intuitive and you are so spot on. Listening to our body + quantum practices are foundational jigsaw pieces . Love these conversations thank you for letting us all listen in to your wisdom ❤

I’ve been having the hardest time get up for sunrise the past month. It was easy for nine months before. My alarm doesn’t even wake me up. Don’t feel like 7.5 hours is enough sleep

Carrie, you mentioned the three things you do first thing in the morning--one of which is grounding/earthing to let your body know where you are in the world. That prompted a question unrelated to light that I've been thinking about: if you're grounding at the ocean it's recommended to stand on wet sand or in water for optimum electron absorption. Would you say a person would get more grounding benefit (more electron absorption at a faster rate) if the body is submerged? My thinking is that if it's true that if both hands and both feet are in contact with the earth, the benefit is quicker than if just standing on the ground without hands touching anything. So, taking this another step, wouldn't it be more beneficial to have your body in contact with the electrical charge of living water (the ocean)? Thoughts?

Would love to hear what you do for skincare routines. I’m starting to develop sun spots at 35. (Pre uva rise IR exposure has helped minimize them, but I’m hesitant about all the seed oils in the products I see)

Great podcast. Excessive exercise is so harmful. Couple things. I thought More sunlight exposure increases metabolism which increases nutrient and caloric needs? Also, our grandparents actually ate more calories than we do but had better health and weight than us. Likely due to better food and sun exposure. So i don't think eating low calories is helpful especially if you are super active or stressed.

If I can only afford one pair of glasses, which ones please ? The deep red ones? I don't have a computer and only read books for hours before bedtime. Help ? ❤

@Carriebwellness and @SarahKleinerWellness, do you think that it would have the same benefits to see thesunrise when the sun is 6 or 8 degrees high than when it is 0 degrees? My body tells me to sleep more, I am exhausted and sleep deprived after 2 1/2 months of seeing sunrise. Currently the sun rises at 4.20 am. I struggle with geting to bed early enough because my husband and my teenage daughter need me.

Adrenals do not become "fatigued" !

How do you know you're fat adapted? How do you measure that? What's the tipping point you have to reach to be allowed to call yourself "fat adapted"
