Anyone know the detailed procedures to get the citizenship for a foreign spouse of an ifs officer? I have heard they have to live in India for 7 years continuously to get the citizenship but, when the ifs officer get posted abroad, will the foreign national spouse have to live in India alone to get the citizenship?

I too love this service but just because the idea of living away from India fears me. Also, since I have siblings, I may not be allowed to take my parents with me on foreign assignments.. That's why I may not put ifs as 1st choice because I can't live happily without seeing my family for months.. IAS provides you opportunity to bring your parents with you (coz what will you do with that large bunglow😂) or you can visit them weekly/monthly since getting leaves for home visit is quite tedious when posted in foreign country
