And on top of that IFS officers don't need to pay any tax neither in India nor abroad, which is not the case in other services like IAS, IPS, IRS etc.
IFS officers can save a lot without doing any corruption.

People in USA try for 80000 usd per month minimum to live a happy life if it's only about earnings. To become an IFS is not really about salary to be honest.
