Dollar tree actually has super great fleece blankets. I have gone there in the past and picked up a ton of them for my bunnies. It would also be great to pick up a ton and donate them to a shelter since they are SO cheap. They also wash well.

Don't forget pee pads from the pet section! Also, I recommend checking out the baby section. We sometimes offer some really nice toss toys. I got Elmo and Cookie Monster teething rings for my babies and they love them.

long story short, a stray bunny was wandering around my yard last week and I took her in. I just want to say thanks for being a fantastic help to someone who has never owned a bunny in their life (I only ever owned dogs.). At first, I wasn't sure but after watching, researching, and following your few guides, I've built the confidence to raise Lola (my bunny's name.). She's a free roam (I've felt bad for keeping her in a box.) and she's living the happiest life ever. You've earned a new subscriber.

Oh my god the Dollar Tree is like my second home, I get so much stuff there! Cooking supplies, pet stuff, arts and crafts, even some of my gardening equipment in the spring! If you want to grow your own veggies for your bunnies the Dollar Tree has all sorts of seeds, pots, trowels and watering cans in the spring.

Loofah sponges (natural not dyed) make good toys. I cut them into tossing sizes. And since they are actually plant fiber, if chewed they won’t hurt bunnies. Oh and I use a wire basket hung right at the litter box, and fill it with hay. They grab the hay through the openings (Annie does occasionally jump into the basket but she weighs 3 lbs and it’s pretty securely screwed into the wall) I line the back with cut cardboard from Chewy boxes. I also use the packing paper Chewy adds to their boxes or the plain brown paper bags my Amazon Fresh delivery come in as liners for the litterboxes. Wooden wine boxes and wooden vegetable crates (Farmers Markets have them at the end of the day) I use as hidey houses. Cardboard egg cartons: I put dried herbs and pellets into as foraging trays! There are tons of useful inexpensive or free items that bunnies love.
BTW I’m now trying to find a Dollar Tree close by for dried fruit to add to their foraging treats.

I actually found in our dollar store some Timothy hay biscuits. I sort of just stood there confused because usually there is nothing related to rabbit in our dollar store lol.

I LOVE that you posted this video!!! Being budget friendly and sharing creative ideas helps so much!!! I'd rather spend $20 at the dollar store and get 20toys he'll love just as much, than buy one wooden hay rack from the "cheapest" pet store that he doesn't even chew on for $20🥺😆

Not all dollar stores are the same, but they’re always everywhere. It really helps to go to multiple dollar stores, and grab what you need! My bunny’s favourite toy is the cardboard packaging from my ikea mirror. My rabbit loves to go into my closet, so he can be sneaky on my baseboards. He stopped caring about the baseboards when I put cardboard boxes in there

The baby section in the Dollar tree has a lot of good stuff! Sometimes you can find the stacking cups. My bunny personally loves the baby spoons in a cup. We also find small fleece blankets in the baby section that she loves to dig on.

You are such an inspiration. I have watched everyone of your episodes and I really appreciate that you advocate for the bunny’s. I have a Rex that is 2 years old that I adopted when he was very young because he has some “special” features... The lady that I got him from said he was worthless as a show animal. To me he is perfect. I named him “Glitch” because sometimes it appears that he isn’t firing on all circuits 😂... again just wanted to thank you for what you do and let you know you are such an inspiration.
