I appreciate the fact that there’s no talking in this video, straight up to the point! 👌

I’d bet most of the people who are actually listening this are in worship team 😄

We use the in-ears, but I'm so grateful we don't have a click or the voice telling us when to make the changes. We are able to rely on the skills of our musicians, the worship leader, and Holy Spirit leading. For our particular team, I feel it enables us to worship more genuinely and flow much better with what God is doing in the congregation.

Correction: these are what the mixes sound like with a GOOD sound man.

Edit: I feel that some of ya'll can relate from the number of likes this comment got🤣🤣🤣

I remember the first time I ever tried playing music with in-ears. My friend let me jump on his church's kit and told me to just follow along. That I would understand once I had them in my ear, that it would tell me what to do. I remember being so confused because I heard the metronome but nothing else. Everyone else was hitting the changes perfectly and as the drummer I was just trying to figure out where we were. I knew the song so I just kind of played along by feel and did my best. My friend looked back at me and realized I was confused. After the song he went over to my setup and realized the voice was muted. After he turned that up it was MUCH EASIER. LOL.

Imagine, no beautiful mixing like this in King Davids time but still he is known as being a man after God`s own heart.

Oh it's for timing. And to oversee the performance? That so much to pay attention to! God bless you worship leaders

I love this! There’s so much going on that people don’t know about regarding sound and even lights, so this was great 😊

This is so cool!! I thought the automatic adjustment to the tempo when switching songs was super interesting!! What a great way to keep everyone on the same page. Thank you for sharing.

This was an absolute treat to experience. I am a up and coming worshipleader and don't yet have this tech. So to be able to know what you guys are hearing is a real treat!

I always thought they were hearing themselves 😂

I have lead and participated in worship for many years mostly without in ear or stage monitors. When I did get a chance to use them I did not like it and felt distracted by the mix. I’m sure if I had more time to work with the system I would embrace the technology more but I’m just an unplugged kind of guy! Thanks for sharing!

So you should totally do a video on how to mix your in-ears for rehearsal (hearing every instrument and vox so you can guide and make changes) vs service (only what you need)

Thanks so much for doing this. It is a great example of what is happening. This is very valuable to get musicians and singers to understand what they SHOULD be hearing instead of a produced broadcast sound.

Way to give away the secret knowledge. Now just tell everyone that 50% of the broadcast mix is track too.

Being in a worship team and hearing how other teams perform really brings some perspective and new ideas in my opinion. Our team practices the order of the song before the actual performance, and we usually have the order of how we’re going to play it on our iPads, and we play the song just off of each other (tempo wise). As far as in-ear monitors go, the only musicians who use them is our drummer and our bassist. The rest of us use floor monitors to hear ourselves. Also, being one of the lead vocalists and pianist, I use hand signals to direct the team after the original order of the song. The most common one we use is a closed fist, indicating to finish the song. I miss it too much now, and I know when the day comes where we finally get to go back to the house of God, it’ll be a beautiful day of pure worship.

That’s why I prefer being in the technical team working on the mixer. I can hear everything that way haha

I really like this. I can imagine our worship team going crazy with the click track!

As a church drummer I'm offended that you muted him. :) Just playing man, this is a great visual and I'd love to show this to my friends who don't understand what it sounds like.
