When my church switched over to in-ears, we bought a bunch of the $100 Shure sets, and we all hated them. I started buying budget in-ears like these and recommending them to everyone on the team. I have used the KZ ZS10 Pro's on stage every week for several years now. I just recently broke them, though, and switched to the KZ ZSTx. I have also used the TRN-V80 at home for a while now. These cheaper in-ears with multiple drivers just sound so much better than the single-driver Shures, and seem to last longer, too...
Thanks for doing this wrap-up - I can send this link to new band members when they are ready for their own sets.

Just got my KZ DQS’s I’ve been using them nonstop, thank you Jimmy also for the recommendation and video! 😁

KZ DQS are great for gaming. I tried the Kz Zs10 pro X but the gunshots caused me fatigue and discomfort. The DQS are perfect for FPS games 0:09 like Call of Duty, Battefield, etc. (I game in a Ps5 and the sound isn’t negatively affected).

I love your analytical style man! Instantly subscribed. I'm a total novice old drummer wannabe just trying to live my childhood dream before I die. Thanks for the thorough information! You rock!

For 20 bucks with a flat eq curve the 7HZ Salnotes Zero are pretty good. I've used 2 KZ sets and they are too shouty in the higher frequencies. I have 2 different sets I'm trying now and the Salnotes Zero are great for 20 bucks.. And if you can get over the horrible packaging I just got Truthear Zero which have better separation but are 2x the cost.

I’m an electric guitarist and had Sure 215 and then tried the AS10. I as able to hear delays with the AS10’s that I couldn’t hear with the Sure. Plus they lasted longer than the Sure’s. Sure lasted a year and the AS10 are over 4 years old and get used almost every weekend for hours.

I've been using the AS10s for 4-5 years now. My only complaint is that they are a bit larger than the other enclosures and don't fit as "snug" in my ears. I've tried the ZS10 Pros and they fit much better but have a congested mids sound to me. My son talked me into try Moodrop Aria - they reminde me A LOT of the ZS10 Pros. Based on this I bought a set of Bmasters. They arrived yesterday and I only plugged them in to "get a reference". I saw another comment about how they sound like a "blanket" over everything, that some upper mids are missing. That was my initial thought - but also that I need to compare what I hear while I'm playing to what I hear in recorded mixes of the same tone as I've found those two aren't always consistent.

Regardless - THANK YOU for putting this together!!! I've been on the lookout for new IEMs for a year-ish trying to find something that sounds as good/clarity as the AS10s in a bit smaller enclosure for a better long-term fit. This video is helpful.

Thanks for the video! There are a couple other sets I always recommend to folks. For $20 sets I recommend the CCA CRA and Moondrop CHU. I also like to recommend the Truthear x Crinicle Zero sets as well in the $50 range. Thanks again for all your content helping to bring awareness of products and tech in worship.

KZ zs10 pro X are gonna blow your mind with their tuning, comfort and definitely price! Many pro musicians in my country have bought a second pair for a backup and I personally have some experience in music production. So be prepared to fall in love with them 😉

I have my own custom Alclairs but I like to provide something for the team members. I had been going with the KZ-AS10s but love your recommendation for the Dairy Queens ;-) Picked up a few for the future using your links! Thanks Jimmy.

I used Shure IEMs of various models for close to 20 years, most recently SE425s. I'm currently using a pair of Fiio FH-1s that were 25% the price, came with a hard case, and sound equally as good. The cable is nicer too, and I haven't had to replace it in two years.

I also have a pair of $20 KZ ZSN Pros that are absolutely ridiculous for the price. No case, and the cable definitely feels cheap. but you don't notice in use and they sound great.

I have been using KZ EDX pro, kinda the updated version of the EDX sound cool.

A few things to mention,

1 kinda eq like a V ( pretty good for bassists or keybords

2 short cable, just regular lenght

3 rubber seals fall very often, I secure them with ciano glue

4 I threw them at the washing machine 😥😥, they keep running tho 2hs after

Great video, I'm looking to get one. Now I have a question. Do you plug them directly to you PC or do you have a separate audio interface? I saw someone recommending the Audient Evo 4 audio interface. I see people recommending these for gaming and other stuff, but do I need to configure the EQ? Or they are plug and play out of the box? Thanks

Great video and explanation. I'd consider anything under $200 US is pretty cheap for any piece of kit in the music/recording industry.

I trust you are right about the cheaper ones. I just order the last 5 from Amazon.

Thank you for your content. It’s a blessing. Keep it up.

I have to say I’m surprised that you have 3 sets by KZ in your top 5. With options from Moondrop, Tangzu, Truthear, Tin Hifi, QKz, Blon, Kiwi Ears, and so many more, I think you need to expand your listening.
