Age strives to take weight off the bar, our job is to fight it tooth and nail. Take it from me at close to 65, my 400 bench at 34 is a dog fight for 275 at 64.

there is a difference between being strong and fit, and having a lot of muscles which burden our body in multiple ways, you have to eat much more to mantain a lot of muscles and also you have to workout almost every day which stresses the body and shortens your life. Not saying dont workout, but just dont couse yourself unnecessary stress, eat a good diet and you will keep your health and strength with a small amount of resistance training.
