I agree with this 100%. I've said this myself, many times. Even today, groups who wish to visit and observe mountain gorillas are never guaranteed that they will see them as the gorillas are often very silent and can easily hide in the greenery and be very close to humans at the same time. Assuming Bigfoot is even more intelligent, perhaps much like humans, it would be easy for them to avoid humans most of the time. And really, I can't blame them for wanting to only observe and generally avoid humans!
