On May 24, 2022, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos fatally shot nineteen students and two teachers and wounded seventeen other people at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, United States. Earlier in the day, he shot his grandmother in the face at home, severely wounding her.

This is absolutely disgusting and horrifying. Why do people have access to things like this? Really and truly is it to hard to just be kind and let people live and love. My best friend’s little cousin was one of the kids that was shot during this horrible crime. He came into school bawling, so I asked him what was wrong. He told me his little cousin was killed during the Uvalde school shooting. I was shocked when he told me this. He went to Texas for the mourning sessions and funeral. He is alright now, but that is the saddest thing one of the close friends has told me.
