These parents are super brave. I would never ever send my kids back. They’d be home schooled.

I can't begin to imagine how the parents felt sending their children back to school and the fear the children are still feeling...it's too soon😢 I hope the families who lost loved ones and those who were survivors of the shooting are finally getting financial help they so desperately need. My Thoughts and Prayers are still with them🙏

As a parent I would not feel comfortable sending my kids to that school.

It's sad to see that parents are sending them back so soon. I'd be scared if my child never came back home

It’s so sad that these measures have to be taken at a school…

All of a sudden security measures in place. This should have been done since the start.

They should take all of those precautions at every school. Government or school officials shouldn’t even think about it. Our kids need to be protected as much as possible at every school.

The odds of something happening again like this at this same exact school are extremely low & if something were to happen again theoretically, I’d be years from now & by then they’d have their guard down again. Why aren’t we having our guard up before tragedy occurs and only becoming extra vigilant & precautious after something like this happens? Many schools across the country are only going to follow through with additional security measures after something occurs in their school because, “how can it possibly happen to us, right?”

That must be traumatic for the kids. They should demolish and rebuild the whole school

Those parents, teachers and students are really strong 😔, let’s just hope these state troopers don’t fail them.

I feel it's still too early it's only been 3 months it can be traumatic for some to go back in the building where do many lost their lives

NO point assigning State Troopers if they won’t protect. Police were inside the school and still didn’t help.

Now the children are in huge cages. 8 foot fences? Those poor kids!

I'm not even in Texas but watching those kids return to that school district still brings up so much emotion- it's hope but there's still a lot of anger. I hope, I pray they find those families find the strength and courage to continue. What they've endured is unspeakable.

As for the "leadership", it seems like the state of Tx and the Uvalde city officials are actually being proactive... They got rid of the biggest coward but I don't have much faith in the 50 - 60 other officers that were present and stood around doing nothing. If hearing screams of children and the roar of gunshots doesn't make compel you to act then you're the most basic of cowards. Better to change professions to something where people don't depend on you at all.

God bless you all. My first grandchild went to school this year I’m terrified. I have to keep it inside for him. ❤ Sending love to you all 💕🙏🏼

Everytime i see this, I always think about my son & it so hard to watch. God bless all these kids, parents, survivors & specially those kids & teacher/s who lost their life's.

Heck no. If I lived through that tragedy myself..I'd homeschool forever.
