Waste of time and tape just wrap it the right way and break it off clean

add pipe dope on top of the tape and it’s done.

Most people put to much much tape and in turn waste more time and tape. The gap between the fitting and pipe is very small. A reliable seal is made by good contact between metals.

You’re doing wayyyy too much. Only wrap 2 times.
