I owned 2023 Vinfast VF8 and confirmed that it it truly a solid EV car. I loved it and drove it every day. Once you're driving Vinfast, you don't want to drive any other car.

Last week I took a trip from Vancouver to Harrison Hot Spring to see the tulips festival and soak my feet in the hot springs. My VF8 eco is run in Eco mode and I use the ADAS function most of the time. This is my test to see how far the car can run in 12 degree Celsius weather. As a result, during the 260km journey there and back, my car lost 50% of its battery. Usually I use Standart mode, the car can run about 43 - 45 km on 10% battery. I think, if I run it in Sport mode, it will run about 36- 38km on 10% battery. However, I rarely run in sport mode because it is too powerful and unnecessary in the city. I think it's not as bad a car as negative people say.

Glad to see reviews from Canada, especially Montreal QC. By the way, it looks like no reviewers have ever tested the voice command, it would nice to test it. I'm wondering if it works well. I tested the VF8 Plus with a friend last week and we both really liked it.

Compare Vinfast to Tesla in its first five years, with all the government backing of the US & and the support of the most powerful VC culture, Vinfast did something incredible. VF8 is also good, but it's smaller and suitable with a smaller family.

Lease here in US is $250 at $2300 down. My eco plus during the deal was $350 3 yr payment. But agreed upon purchase price is That intro offer. Now it's $35k after all incentives. $350 3 yr. Which is still better than other for the quality and features you get on this car. Our near by dealership Leith Vinfast is great.

Probably the scathing comments on the vf8 made by for example Donut were just a little biased I think. At the very beginning, there were indeed some shortcomings within the vf8's design and software such as the incessant chimes or dysfunctional blinkers but Vinfast gradually has ironed those things out.

I am a VF8 owner, and to be fair, the huge amount of initial terrible reviews stem from May 2023, when Vinfast released their very basic stripped down CITY version to a bunch of american reviewers, with still not quite market ready software. Also back then the pricing model was based on EV going rates at the time which have since come down drastically. It was a mistake by Vinfast, they should have waited until their software was more polished and the car itself had suspension engineering improvements. Fast forward a year, and the VF8 today you are driving is far and a away removed from that CITY version the reviewers based everything on. Structural improvements were made, battery charge improvements, and definitely software upgrades. But now they are playing catchup. But for us early purchasers and leasers who can see beyond those crappy initial reviews, are benefitting. 10 years warranty bumper to bumper is worry free commitment from them to us early adopters. More will be sold in the coming months and they are expanding their networks and dealerships. There are constant software improvemnts that will continue in the months ahead. But already, its a very enjoyable ride with so many options ( you are this happy with the ECO version, the Plus version adds so many more features). And in my case the service was beyond excellent....but in the GTA there are already 3 running dealerships while quebec is still limited. It will get better out there. and no, I am not a shill, but a unbiased real who has owned 3 other electric cars before this one.

Guess range is pretty accurate, i have plus model it's pretty accurate even though i use A/C drive at 70mph speed. I rarely see 10 miles drop max.
