The Phung Nguyen culture (2000-1000 BC) was the first culture in Sea to forge metal tools, not Dongson. The culture itself was Austroasiatic

There are some things you are missing. The homo floresinsis or hobbits were not the only humans that lived in Southeast Asia. There were the Denisovans and early homo sapien groups of whom are related to modern negrito and Papuan populations. The early Homo Sapien migrants and Denisovans had a similar height to us modern humans
