PLEASE more general interest/history lists like this. The movie based videos are getting a little repetitive...the same movies keep showing up.
I'd like to see more non-movie lists on WhatCultureHorror as well...you could focus on topics that fit the horror theme of the channel.

Another soft drink fact: club soda was originally a branded drink originating from Ireland, before becoming a generic term. It was created for use in a gentleman's club, hence the name. The company still exists but doesn't sell club soda. They have other brands like Club Orange and Club Lemon.

It should be noted that the drugs Hitler was using were acceptable in his time. Heroin and cocaine were legitimate medicines at one time and methamphetamines were used worldwide at the time. I'm not a Hitlerist, just a chemistry enthusiast

You mean Henry IV was the first King of all of England to speak Modern English?
Old English aka Anglo-Saxon began around the 5th century AD. Many kings in England spoke it. Then came Middle English or Anglo-Norman which began from the Norman Conquest in 1066 AD and went for 4 more centuries. Then came Modern English which began in the 14th century and solidified most in the 16th century AD. Henry was born in 1367, so this was around most of his life.

Was this something Garreth was interested in, or was this just to make a quota of videos. It’s a neat video, just seems a bit out of WhatCulture’s usual MO

So factor in that Nintendo was around way before the computer or gameconsole. As well as the fact that germany was a unification of preexisting states and it all makes more sence.

Why do I find it funny that when he talks about the island of Britain, they have a photo of Neist Point on the Isle of Skye? Technically not part of the island of Britain, and the people that lived there at the time probably weren't speaking English either

The "german" is older then 120years... back in the days of romans there was an area called germania; additionaly in the 10th century the holy roman-german empire was founded with a german emperor... you cod say a unified "germany" is around 120 years old. the US had a similar story...
