Generac Generators-Quality Control Issues and Poor Designs

This generator has so much trouble I decided to tear it all the way down. This is not the orange Generac from the other video, but rather the red Honeywell branded one. I was interested in seeing what all has failed in the unit. Upon teardown I noticed a lot of things that seemed poorly designed! Generac really needs to work on sourcing better quality parts. Especially with their inverter modules and engines.

Wouldn't take a Generac generator, if you gave it to me! Mine are all Hondas, and Kubotas. Never have problems with them.

Great video ! Yeah the filter ... They found a use for their machining scraps for a filter What a poor design & The inverters being Non serviceable is crappy is in my opinion screwing over the customers

Look for another brand. Stay away from Generac. A very poor, unreliable product.

That's why you buy Honda or Yamaha. Better built and Honda builds a lot of its equipment in the US.

Oh they enclose them in epoxy/rubber resin so you cant even change out one component.
