Do we need to remember that Thor needed Mjolnir to fight Kratos and while Zeus did create the Blade of Olympus he was fighting Kratos bare handed, Zeus is just fucking beast.

Edit:- Also To those who are saying old kratos is weaker. its the opposite. I think it was The game director Cory Barlog himself said that Kratos is actually way stronger now but he was holding himself back. But zeus was also very strong. Kratos holding his anger and his strength in control exhausted him so much. Mental exhaustion. Also the tension for the safety of his BOI
