New Focus ST 2022 Facelift mode is offering powerful EcoBoost petrol powertrains and is available in hatchback and wagonbody styles.

The new Focus ST features a bold exterior design that further emphasises its high-performance character. Details includehoneycomb upper and lower front grilles, large side vents, side skirts and aerodynamically-optimised spoilers on the lower fascia and rear roof. A new design of 18 inch alloy wheel is standard, with optional 19-inch wheels also available.

Inside, the Focus ST features all-new Performance Seats, developed in-house by Ford
Performance engineers to provide high levels of support and comfort whether on the track or the school run. The seatshave been given the seal of approval from the leading spinal health organisation Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. (AGR) (the Campaign for Healthier Backs).Fourteen-way powerseat adjustment, including four-way adjustable lumbar support, helps drivers reach their ideal driving position, while standard seat heating contributes to high levels of comfort.

The new Focus ST is powered by a 2.3-litre EcoBoost petrol engine, delivering 280 PS and 420 Nm of torque supported by a twin-scroll turbocharger with anti-lag technology. A six-speed manual gearbox is standard with rev-matching technology when specified with the optional X Pack for smoother, more consistent down-shifts.A seven-speed automatic with paddle shifters is also available.

Further high-performance driving technologies include an electronic limited-slip differential that enhances cornering performance and traction when accelerating, as well asavailable Continuously Controlled Damping thatmonitors steering, braking, suspension and body inputs 500 times a second to adjust damping responses to deliver optimal ride comfort and cornering control.ST models equipped with the upgraded Xpack feature Dynamic Pixel LED headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels and an additional Track mode within the selectable Drive Modes, for optimised EPASfeedback, a more aggressive throttle tuning and greater leeway from the ESC system.

Initially preferred the old one but the more I’ve looked into it the more the facelift version has grown on me. Same with this mean green colour, initially thought it was just too loud but the more I’ve looked at it the more I can appreciate how it suits the performance characteristics of the car with fantastic contrast with the dark features. The old one is still fantastic of course but the more I’ve looked back on it the more it is started to look a bit dated already even though the recardo seats are great.

Ordered full spec with pano roof, I currently drive a mk4 focus vignale 182bhp so this is a nice step up for me 😁, my partner has a mk3 RS so big and little sibling can be together 🥰

I don’t know why focus st didn’t adjust engine tuning little bit. The Hyundai 30n facelift did and now ST is left back compared to other hot hatches.

The front of if doesn’t look as nice as the one before. No physical buttons, so if the screen stops working then essentially you lose your heating and AC. The one before I think is the one to go for.

Dunno how confusing to say this, but now it kind of resembles the new Impreza with such an facelift.

So much I don't like about the Mark 4 compared to the MARK 3 Facelift model. no option but to have privacy glass - which was an option on the Mark 3 facelift model. Infotainment display is way too big. Still prefer it integrated into the dash. Displays are now digital and not analogue. The front seat map pockets are now of the cargo/mesh type. Tacky. Not a single shade of blue available.

Focus ST is a very studied car combo between engine and suspension with Unique feeling of Driving.
I choose an automatic because in this case it will be better in every Day life and Even consumption when you Drive normal and slow
The manual is for pure pleasure and I recomand manual if you have 1-2 Cars and this is just for fun and Saturday ride
