Ford's heated windshield is incredible. I owned a Fiesta ST 2013 between 2016-2020 and the first week of owning it the thin wire lattice was playing tricks with my eyes. After the first week I fully got used to it, and looking back it was a godsend up here in north Finland. Also my wife drove it a lot and never complained. Which is a treat, since she does complain about things. Holy crap does she complain. Holy shit, boy.

Heated windscreen is invaluable. Absolutely love it.

Those door protectors should be on all cars. Sadly it will still not protect you from idiots that damage your car and then drive away.

I never had any problems with Ford's heated windscreen. You'll soon get used to it within a week. It's invaluable in winter. No more scraping the windscreen and having it frozen again the moment I drive off.

19:24 User experiences I came across said that the Ford heated windscreen with those filament resistors is (patented and) actually better at melting ice than those foil type heaters in cold climates with temperatures in winter hitting -20 °C. Some claimed that those foil type heating elements were close to useless in comparison. This is of course hearsay without actual first hand experience but something worth to consider and maybe to test out!

I’m still mad that this car was taken away from us in the US. LOVE the lines they have

Thomas, i have focus st line 2019 in desert icland blue, (version before facelift) for my opinion one of the best cars in these class, 1.5 150 hp, great to drive, great acleration 8.5 sec in sport mode which very respect, best handling car and comforable also i have multi link rear suspension with engine 150 hp

5:30 That one's on you. The software just asked for the temperature specifically, not for you to repeat the whole message. Thus, it may have gotten confused.

Would be cool if you could use the whole display for Android auto and apple carplay

Got the Focus mk4 with the heated windshield and somehow I no longer see those wires in. Only when I intentionally FOCUS on them :)

Have driven with the heated windscreen for many years and really appreciate the convenience in winter conditions. Yes you can see the elements if you look for them but in driving you are focused on the outside environment and therefore cannot see the elements. I would be very sad to see the heated screen discontinued, it is a good safety provision in my opinion

No the heated windshield is something you will get used to really easily if you own one. And it's also incredibly handy in the winter. So if you can get a ford with it. I absolutely recommend it.

i have a focus vignale with the HUD and it's realy usefull and not so bad as you discribe it i realy don't mind its on a separate screen its realy good to read that way and it hides away when you turn the car off but other brands just close it and don't hide it so dust can go on the screen while in the ford the screen stays better clean

Looking forward seeing the estate version with the new automatic transmission. From what i know, Ford replaced the converter with a dual clutch (again)

Heated windscreen is what I appreciate most in my Ford Focus.

I've had mine for just over a year - I love it! Dual clutch auto with paddle shifters - good fun 👍

in my case with heated windshield i only see them when im looking for them. when i focused on driving i dont see them ever. in winter with remote start its a really useful feature.

My choice is the Focus but I accept others might feel differently. The windscreen is not a distraction because you get used to ignoring the lines which create no problem for me. Good review as always from Thomas.
