I’m on the precipice of buying a bookstore in my small northern Washington town. There are days when I question what the hell I’m making this major, life changing decision for. I have a good paying job and a lot of flexibility, but there’s something that just keeps calling me to this place. This affirmed (for today) that I’m making the right decision moving forward. theres no bookstores where i live, only libraries. if i want to go to a bookstore, the closest is Barnes and Noble and its almost an hour away. ive only been there once. Not worth the trip for me, i just buy my books online or go to the library. i would love to go to an indie bookstore though.

Wow this documentary was a surprise! I buy a lot of my books at Expressions of Time, it's actually the used bookstore I probably utilize the most since it's nearby and the staff are wonderful! Thanks for this Ariel!

This is amazing! ❤️ I love independent bookstores! To be honest, I don't shop in them enough since I work in a chain bookshop (even thou our shops are pretty small compared to others and some of them feel kind of homey and all that connects them is the name) and this is a great reminder for me to try harder and support them (and not to just pay money to my employer 😂)
