I cry so hard to this song.
I value myself so much. No one else does but my mother. No one makes space for me in this world. And a song about being valued by beings beyond the tangible brings me emotions I can not identify that only classify me as deeply hurt.
Unfortunately, unlike Lily Rice, I don’t get that comfort yet, and I must endure a world in which I am horrifically undervalued. This songs is both comforting and painful to me.
