could a STRANGE bird headed figure be a Alien visitor. Did a landing UFO with a four figure alien walk around ancient France?

Probably not ! but it's still a good mystery.

I recently visited the museum and had an amazing experience! While there, I asked the staff about the most unusual painting, and they introduced me to *The Birdman*. What's fascinating is that this figure isn't just a part of the artwork—it also appears in ancient cultures like the Anunnaki and at the Göbekli Tepe site, adding an intriguing layer of mystery to the piece.

It’s completely normal to see drawings of 4 fingered things, look at Mickey Mouse and other cartoon characters, it’s just so much easier/quicker to get the job done and it doesn’t look weird at all, humans have been drawing stuff for yonks (how ever long that may be) and we have an astounding imagination that we can draw what ever we see in our mind, just because we see cave paintings that’s been drawn yonks ago doesn’t mean those drawings are of real people or animals, great video btw

Thanks for this, they are incredible cave paintings at Lascoux, at up to 17, 000 years old. Some Australian Aborigine "art" has been dated to over 75, 000 years, according to Ray Mears in his'Walkabout'book, rather than artfor art sake, they seemed to be intended as a connection to the Dreamtime.

Simon, these paintings world wide are astronomical in nature,

Couldn't That's an interesting interpretation! The figure's posture does resemble something a person standing might do. It would explain the proportions being a little more humanoid than initially thought. Maybe the artist was trying to depict a ceremonial figure in a headdress shaped like a bird. And the pit may have been a bit like an oubliette. You know, the pits have no return, and he was just drawing what he was going to be dealing with. I'm sure they had some kind of prison system even back then.

you omitted to mention the big willie!

the painting also suggests that the humanoid figure was gored or killed by the bison; bison's head down, as if charging, dropped spear, figure falling backwards. perhaps the figure was an important member of the tribe - who wore a bird mask/helmet - that was killed on a hunt? could the bird on a stick therefore be his grave, with the helmet placed on top to commemorate him?

CONSIDER : Hunting Manual ?
1) large bird camo (hunter)
2) bird decoy
3) type of bird
4) bait ( circle, grain)
Decoys are still used today.
Large bird camo - still used today
( confidence decoy - today to
attract birds & hide hunter)

CO2 - that's the puzzle !
( no mention of human bones )
artist lived !

Hello Professor. Love the channel btw. As a Voisin of yours, living in Lot et Garonne, we have been to many such caves. Indeed we were at Lascaux 2 about 15 years ago and marveled at the art work. We have also visited Rouffignac. Have you been? Amazing little train journey of about 1. Km into a cave system with some great paintings as well and also original not a facsimile . The only reason we can take the train is because the French dug the floor level down sufficiently. The artists themselves crawled on their backs part of the way and because it is of course pitch black took their own lighting. This took the form of sea shells with tallow and some form of wick they believe from archaeological evidence. My point is this; these people were both determined and resourceful. Is it conceivable that the two paintings of the man and the pole with a birds head on it represent something else? Are the artists boasting about their ingenuity in accessing a difficult area of the cave system perhaps? The open mouths represent breathing. The pole is hollow and allows the man to decend into the CO2 filled cavern by breathing clean air from above? Just a thought. Off to watch your latest vid on signatures of life in other parts of the Universe. Interesting times we live in!

As an up and coming Anthropologist, how do I get involved in these groups? This data seriously messes up our assessments of the past. It is going to be really, really messed up if "some" have known about this for a very long time. As a veteran, this situation is seriously FUBAR. TY for observing and sharing the truth available to us. This really sucks.

The Shaman had a picture of what he wanted to paint. Climb down the rope, 2 mins to paint the bird - then back up. Down to paint himself - and starts at the feet, painting as he climbs, but by the time he gets to the head he's running out of O2 & can only remember "Paint the bird & climb".
Do we know if he made it out ? Any human remains at the bottom ??

Good video - as usual.
Sometimes our imagination is more correct and is processing more data than our logical and conscious mind is capable of.
