Forest Gump is such a perfect movie. Even as a kid I enjoyed it. I respect Tom Hanks for not allowing a great story to be used until the original has the effectiveness of the Springfield crater to the hearts of millions.

The book and then the screenplay were perfect . The story of Forrest's life was like a Mobius strip, the perfect ending lead to a beautiful beginning .

There was a sequel script that was made called "Gump and Co" that was supposed to have Forrest lose his company due to Letiunant Dan Selling his shares.
Some events featured included Forrest dancing with Princess Diana,
Forrest in Oj Simpsons Trunk during the Bronco Chase,
And Forrest meeting a woman who shortly after dies because she worked in the Oklahoma Building that was Bombed in 1995.

The Script was Submitted in September 10 2001,
But was swiftly shelved the next day due to 9/11.
